Going back a few years I borrowed a Bomex rip off from a mate (Lincoln) & repaired it for him in return he let me have a plug taken off it so we could get copies made.
It took a VERY long time for this to happen but it did get done in the end, results were average to be polite, fit was not great & needed a lot of work to make it sit right.
You can still buy these on Trademe from time to time & the way to tell they are from the same mould is they have a flat bottom rather than the original design that dropped down about 15 – 20mm on each side under the intercoolers
As with all fibreglass as soon as you hit something – or even bump something damage will be done.
I've got nothing against the way they look, in fact they are fairly nice IMO, just beware fibreglass is NOT daily driver friendly.
(have one in the shop that would need a small amount of work before being usable if you are convinced you want one)
