She had no engine in her to start with only a block & flogged pistons, managed to put a engine together from parts had lying around & members of the club, cheers Rob, Lincon, Nigel & Glen.
Turned out to be a good engine so I pulled it out & swapped it with the my other Z's 2+2 engine
That decision came when I had blown 2 auto slush boxes in the 2 seater, Lincon kindly sold me a manual conversion kit so now I could mate that to the hot engine that was in the 2+2, this particular engine has made 193 rwkw not bad for a non turbo.
Engine in place time to start fettling
After talking to Rob "tufnis" a few years ago the idea came about individual throttles, sorry Rob for pinching your idea
Using the inlet manifold off the VG30DET I could string together two rows of throttles, easier said than done limited space & on a inlet manifold that was never designed for that purpose was always going to be hard.
But 1st the inlet ports were 10mm smaller on the heads than the new inlet manifold, so the heads off to fix a suspected blown head gasket & open up the inlet ports.
Abit of port matching for the exhaust side aswell.
Clean up the block, jiff works well for cleaning engine parts

Engine back together.
Inlet manifold coming together, 10mm thick base plate & throttle body of choice 4age 40mm throttle, room is an issue with them staggered like that.
Next hurdle make some pulleys to link the two rows.
Cheers JB for the billet
New lick of paint for the valve covers as well she's looking pretty smart. A few issues like vacuum & injectors will sort out later.
The pulley for the throttle cable is larger than the Z equivalent so had to modify the throttle pedal by chopping a section above the piviot mount out & welding it back together.
