Any one no the purpose of this little guy? Im pretty sure its a resister block not sure what it does & weather I need it

It's for the fuel pump control unit, it allows the unit to run the pump on the lower speeds.
I'm pretty sure the TT has two resitors in the same location – could be wrong though.
