im not sure what there actually called buy you know how there is the rubber mouldings along the side of the windscreen and on the targa top roofs that often wear out and the black stuff peels off. on my 300zx all the window seals and those were replaced and brand new. haven't had it long but now on the mouldings since i cover my car with a car cover when i put the cover on it rubs on the moulding and its already pretty worn :( its not good.

well i just found them on z1 http://www.z1motorsports.com/p…..ts_id=1544 bloody hell there a little expensive . . . do you know anyway i can make them last longer also how hard are they to replace? iv only taken the cover on and off probably 5-10 times and its worn excessively. and it wasn't really a cheap cover either a $150 one.

I don't want to leave it uncovered because i have 5 dam cats that jump all over my cars with dirty feet and they have already scratched up my jaguar and want my 300zx kept new.

Not sure of a good solution for ya there man, shoot the cats? laugh

Most types of foam etc to protect the trim will hold water if they get wet & so fix one problem and cause another – soaking wet car all the time :(

I'm thinking maybe one of those cheap gazzebos from the Warehouse or something? might be the best way around it if you can put one out of the wind somewhere.

am seriously thinking about getting rid of the cats lol they seem to not welcome my cars. but had them for years kinda attached to the wee things.

i actually have room to put up a gazboo i never thought about that. i'm going to keep an eye out for one of those untill i get rid of the jag and put the zed in the carport. thinking about asking the landlord if they mind if i turn the carport into a garage. it just needs 2 sides of tin nailed onto it and it'l be a cheap closed garage where the cats wont be able to enter
